Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Inspired by her observations of shadows in the earth, the artist spent many months perfecting a technique that allows objects to be represented with two dimensions onto canvas. The subject becomes a replica that is its own and the canvas carries its own interpretation painted by the object, particularly in the case of a living item or something perishable, like people or fruit. Her ephemeral painterly style is obvious and the only thing that remains of Alexa Meade's works is a photograph. Both the painting and photographic techniques are so closely coordinated that the end result is nothing but a two-dimensional flat space that achieves trompe-l'oeil. In this, the third dimension can only be seen in specific areas, such as near the eyes or in hair. Occasionally, Meade integrates her painted models with the 3-dimensional space around them, allowing the models to be part of their own self-created environment. The boundaries between performance, installation, photography and painting are thus dissolved.
