Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her highly laudable performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including an Oscar for the film Piano. In her early years, the accomplished actress began playing on stage for a number of Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. From the time she was a child she's always been enthusiastic in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. Following a bout of Mumps, she was deaf on one side of her ear. But, it did not stop her ambition to pursue a career as an actress. While in college, she took classes in theatre and later moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dreams. She ran into Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. When she moved from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find movie roles. The role of a supporting actress was securing for her in Swing Shift. Since then she has appeared in a variety of television series and movies throughout a span of more than 30 years. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received the Women in Film Lucy Award.
