Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor also known as a producer, director and actress. Her work has been recognized for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards, including an Oscar for her movie Piano. The path to acting began with Broadway with a variety of Broadway as well as Off Broadway productions. Since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play during the 5th grade. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf in the one ear. However, she refused to let that to stop her from becoming an actress. While in college, she took classes in theatre and then moved from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her goal. Hunter was stuck in the elevator of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. The first time she appeared in a film was when she moved in Los Angeles. She has since appeared in several television series, films as well as movies throughout the span of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
