Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Her career began as an actor on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Since her childhood she's always been enthusiastic in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf in the one ear. But she refused to let that to stop her from becoming an actor. At college, she was a theatre student and later moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her dreams. Hunter was stuck in an elevator with playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. Her first film role came when she moved to Los Angeles. Over the past three decades, since then she has appeared involved in numerous television movies and series. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
