Ina Garten is well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten began her career in the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget documents. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual challenge that came with her work, but she soon began to lose enthusiasm. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. It took her nearly 18 years to make the shop extremely successful before she closed the business. She then began to write her first cookbook. Numerous magazines and cookbooks were later published. In the meantime she also had her own Food Network show was also a success. She also sells a range of product from cooking ingredients to storage and equipment. Ina herself, a self-taught chef she has never attended the culinary institute or at an establishment. Ina is known for her relaxed style of cooking and entertaining. Her most famous recipes are Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
