Ina Garden is a famous American cookbook author who has received Emmy awards. She hosts the oldest Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. The show will run for another 27 seasons. Ina started her career with nuclear energy policy and budgets for the White House. Although she found her job to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she lost her interest in it and bought a tiny specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her nearly 18 years to turn the store into hugely successful, and then sold the store. After that, she started writing one of her cookbooks. Numerous other books as well as magazines followed. Her Food Network TV show also debuted, and was a huge success. Her products range from kitchen equipment to ingredients and storage containers. Ina has never attended an institution for cooking or worked in a dining establishment. She is entirely self-taught. Her name is known for her easy style of entertainment as well as her simple cooking.
