Ina-Garten
Ina Garden is an American author of cookbooks who has earned Emmy Awards. She hosts the most popular Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. The show will run for 27 more seasons. Ina began her career working with the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy reports. In the beginning, she was awed by the intellectual rigors of her job, but soon stopped her interest. She instead bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty grocery store. It was a huge success for 18 years before she made the decision to close it. After that, she started the first book. Numerous magazines and cookbooks were later published. Meanwhile the Food Network television show too began its run and was very popular. Her products range from cookware and kitchen appliances as well as storage containers. Ina was never a part of any cooking school, nor worked in a restaurant and is completely self-taught. Her relaxed approach to entertaining and her easy cook style are very well-known. Her name is associated with her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Grilled Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese using Beef Bourguignon as well as Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
