Ina-Garten
Ina Garten, an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host of the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina began her career by working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy documents. In the beginning, she was awed by the intellectual rigors of her job, but soon lost interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. The store was very successful for 18 years before she made the decision to close it. Her next step was to write the first book. Other cookbooks followed, as did magazine columns. While she was at it Her Food Network show was also a success. In addition, she sells a variety of items ranging from cooking materials to storage and equipment. Ina she has not attended any cookery schools, or had a job in a restaurant. She is completely self-taught. Ina is well-known for her easy approach to cooking and effortless take on entertainment. Her most well-known recipes include simple recipes such as Skillet Grilled Lemon Chicken Macaroni and cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
