Ina Garten is an American chef and author and Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa that began airing in 2002 has 27 seasons running until the year 2020. Ina started her career as a writer for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget, as well as other policy documents. In the beginning, she found her work interesting and stimulating however, she eventually grew bored and purchased a tiny grocery store that was that was named Barefoot Contessa. It was a huge success for over 18 years, until she decided to shut it down. After that, she started the first book. Others followed, and so did magazine columns. Meanwhile the Food Network television show too began its run and was very popular. Furthermore, she sells everything from cooking equipment to items and even containers. Ina is an aspiring cook who has not attended the cooking school nor employed in a kitchen. She's known for her easygoing style of cooking and entertaining. Her most popular recipes include Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and The Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Lemon Bars.
